Types of Depression

2. Perinatal or Postpartum depression: This depression refers to major depression that some      women experience during pregnancy or after delivery. 3. Psychotic Depression: This is major depression and its symptoms are; hallucinations and delusion and these are related to the person’s depressed feelings, like hearing strange voices telling you that you don’t deserve to live.

3. Seasonal affective disorder: Referred to as winter depression. it works with the changing seasons and it is not versatile. Treatment includes: light therapy that is exposure to artificial light, and then medication formally prescribed for depression

4. Depression occurring with bipolar disorder: it causes your mood to change, also experiencing changes in sleep patterns and activity levels.

Diagnosis and Treatment for Depression
