Below is how you can find your Wifi password on Windows 7, 8, and 10:

Windows 7and 8.1

However, in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, you’ll find one way in the Network and Sharing Center for your current connection. See the steps below:

  1. First Step: You have to search for “Network” in your Windows Start Button, and then scroll to the “Control Panel” and select “Network and Sharing Center” from the list of the results provided.
  2. Second Step: Look up to the Control Panel View at the left top corner, where you’ll see Manage Wireless Network, Change Adapter Settings, and Change Advanced Sharing Settings. Based on this case, you’ll have to click on “Change adapter settings”
  3. Third Step: Here, you’ll now see a variety of options such as; the Local Area Connection, Wireless Network Connection (Sometimes you’ll have Wireless Network Connection 2 depending on Windows) so what you need to do here is to select the Wireless Network Connection, Right-click, and then select “Status”
  4. Fourth Step: In the WiFi Status dialogue, the next thing for you is to click on “Wireless Properties”
  5. Fourth Step: Just click on the Security tab in that dialogue and then click the “Show characters” in the box.

Finally, Your Wi-Fi network password will now be displayed in the Network security key box.

Windows 10

Now, in Windows 10, unlike others, there is another different method to that of Windows 7 and Windows 8. That of Windows 10 depends on the type of version that is running on your PC.  Now see steps below:

  1. First Step: The first thing to do is to select the “Start” button.
  2. Second Step: The next thing is to select “Settings”
  3. Third Step: Then Click on “Network & Internet”
  4. Fourth Step:  Here, you then have to scroll and select “Status”
  5. Fifth Step: After that, you have to select “Network and Sharing Center”, where you also have to select your Wifi network name.
  6. Sixth Step: Then in the Wi-Fi Status, click on “Wireless network Properties”
  7. Seventh Step: After you’ve arrived in that Network Wireless Properties, what you need do is to go over and select the “Security tab” after which you’ll then click on the “Show characters.”

At last, you’ll now be eligible to see the WiFi password for your current connection.
